Pupil Documentation:

These regulations set by the Driving Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) are mandatory for all courses:

  • Pupils must ensure that all vital and pertinent documents are valid and with them during the training:

~ For CBT: A valid UK provisional or full driving license.

~ For A1/A2/Direct Access license training/practical test: A valid UK provisional or full driving license, a valid CBT certificate & a valid Motorcycle theory test certificate.

~ For Advanced & Back to Biking: A valid full UK driving license.

  • Failure to provide required documentation or meet the eyesight test (reading a vehicle registration number plate at 20.5 meters or 67ft, with or without optical aids) will result in loss of the deposit and training cannot begin.

Pupil's Attire:

  • Pupils must wear robust clothing during motorcycle training. This includes solid footwear (excluding steel toe cap boots or shoes) and ideally rugged trousers like denim or leather. Necessary items such as jackets, helmets, gloves, hi-viz, and waterproofs will be provided if needed.

  • If a pupil appears in unsuitable attire, CBT Bike Training Ltd has the right to cancel the training without a refund.

Health Conditions:

  • Pupils must inform CBT Bike Training Ltd of any medical issues at the booking time. Non-disclosure may lead to training cancellation.

Required Reading: The Highway Code

  • ALL PUPILS MUST READ AND UNDERSTAND “THE HIGHWAY CODE” PRIOR TO ANY MOTORCYCLE TRAINING.

  • It's imperative for pupils to have basic English proficiency for clear communication with the instructor. If this condition isn't met, the training will be cancelled, and fees will be forfeited.

Equipment Damage, Loss & Insurance:

  • CBT Bike Training Ltd doesn't offer insurance for sickness/personal injury or unexpected course cancellation.

  • Pupils are encouraged to seek personal coverage for these areas if they see fit.

  • During training, pupils are insured under a full comprehensive insurance policy provided by CBT Bike Training Ltd.

  • Damage caused to vehicles by pupils during training will incur specific excess charges. A full price list of damaged or missing items is available upon request.

  • If a pupil neglects instructions during training, leading to any incident or accident where they become separated from the instructor, the insurance may be nullified, and the pupil is responsible for ALL COSTS for vehicle recovery and repair.

Substance Influence:

  • Training will be terminated without refund if a pupil is believed to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs, whether prescribed or not.

Fatigue:

  • Pupils must ensure they can stay awake and alert during training. Participating without adequate sleep the previous night is discouraged.

  • If deemed too fatigued, CBT Bike Training Ltd retains the right to delay or cancel the training.

Training Standards:

  • Training is granted at the school's discretion.

  • Pupils will usually train on the same vehicle, but this isn't guaranteed.

  • CBT Bike Training Ltd may stop or suggest different training if a pupil poses a risk to themselves or the public. Refund decisions are left to the instructor.

Payments & Cancellation:

  • All specific course deposits are non-refundable.

  • Full payments for specific courses must be made 14 days before the training starts.

  • STRICT CANCELLATION POLICY IN EFFECT.

  • Pupils should arrive on time; tardy arrivals will forfeit their spot and pay an additional rebooking fee.

  • Detailed terms for course cancellations and refunds are provided. Weather-related reschedules are at no extra charge.

  • Gift Vouchers are valid for six months from issuance and are only redeemable by the named person.

  • CBT Bike Training Ltd practices a zero-tolerance policy for threatening or abusive behaviors. Courses may be terminated without refunds in such instances, and incidents will be reported to the authorities.
